I created this book with Iris Morales, a former Young Lord who was part of the Garbage Offensive of 1969. I / we want to share this story to let children and adults know that together we can make change happen. That means we have to work together to fix problems in our communities like the garbage on our streets. Together, we protect our neighborhoods, our schools, our people.
